Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about buying, selling, payment options, and our services.

Purchasing

How do I purchase a note from your gallery?

Browse our Gallery and click on any item you'd like to buy. On the product page, choose your preferred payment method — Credit Card, Check, or Zelle — and follow the steps to complete your order. Each method walks you through the full checkout process.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept Credit / Debit Card (processed securely via Stripe), personal or cashier's Check, and Zelle. Check and Zelle orders receive a discount — 2.5% off for Check, 2.7% off for Zelle — automatically reflected at checkout.

Is there a discount for paying by check or Zelle?

Yes. Paying by Check saves 2.5% off the listed price, and paying by Zelle saves 2.7%. The discounted amount is shown on the product page before you place your order, and is always rounded up to the nearest dollar.

How does the Zelle payment process work?

Select Zelle on the product page, fill in your name, email, and shipping address, then send payment to ramin.soltani@gmail.com. Once you click "I've Sent My Zelle Payment," we receive a notification. As soon as we verify the payment, we ship your item — typically within 1–2 business days.

How does paying by check work?

Select Check on the product page and complete the form. We'll hold the item for up to one week while we wait for your check. Make the check payable to Prosper Coins & Currency and mail it to PO Box 130402, Carlsbad, CA 92013. Once the check clears, we ship your order. Reservations not received within one week are automatically released.

Can I view an item in person before buying?

Absolutely. We're based in Southern California and welcome appointments for in-person viewings. Contact us to arrange a time, and we'll make sure your visit is convenient and worthwhile.

Shipping & Returns

Do you ship internationally?

Currently we ship within the United States. If you're an international collector and are interested in a specific piece, contact us — we're happy to discuss options on a case-by-case basis.

How are notes packaged and shipped?

Every note is carefully packaged in archival-quality holders and shipped in a rigid mailer to prevent bending. Valuable items are insured and sent via tracked USPS or UPS service.

What is your return policy?

We describe every item as accurately as possible, including its condition, grade, and any known flaws. If an item arrives significantly different from its description, please contact us within 3 days of receipt and we will make it right. We stand behind the authenticity of everything we sell.

Selling & Appraisals

Can I sell my notes to you?

Yes — we're always interested in acquiring quality pieces. Whether you have a single note or an entire collection, reach out via our Contact page or call us and we'll arrange a time to review your items. We offer fair, market-based pricing and handle the process discreetly and professionally.

Do you offer appraisals?

Yes. We provide informal appraisals and valuations for collectors and estates. For significant collections, we offer on-site appraisals anywhere in the United States. Contact us to discuss your needs and we'll arrange the right type of assessment.

Can you help me submit my notes for professional grading (PMG / PCGS)?

Yes. We assist collectors in submitting notes to PMG and PCGS Currency — the industry's leading grading services. We advise on which notes are worth grading, handle all the packaging and submission logistics, and return your graded notes safely. Contact us to get started.

Do you handle auction consignment?

For significant pieces or large collections, auction houses often achieve the highest prices. We leverage relationships with major auction houses to consign your notes, writing lot descriptions, advising on reserve prices, and managing the entire process end-to-end.

About Our Notes

How do I know the notes are authentic?

Authenticity is our highest priority. All notes in our gallery are hand-selected and examined before listing. Many pieces are graded by independent third-party services (PMG, PCGS). If you have any question about a specific item's provenance or authenticity, don't hesitate to ask before purchasing.

What do condition grades like 'Circulated' and 'Uncirculated' mean?

Circulated notes have been used in commerce and show wear — from light folds to significant handling marks. Uncirculated notes have never been in general circulation and retain their original crispness and sheen. Within these categories, industry standards (Fine, Very Fine, Extremely Fine, Gem Uncirculated) describe the degree of preservation.

What is a 'special label' on a gallery item?

Some notes carry a gold badge on the gallery card highlighting a special characteristic — for example Low Serial Number, Star Note, Courtesy Autograph, or Error Note. These are attributes that make the note particularly desirable or rare beyond its standard category.

I'm looking for a specific note not in your gallery. Can you help?

Yes — submit a Want List request under our Services and we'll do our best to source the note for you. We have access to a broad network of dealers and auction channels and frequently acquire new inventory.

Still have a question? We’re happy to help.
